Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals.
Baptisms
Baptism is a public response from a person accepting Jesus as their Lord. People of all ages may be baptised. Children may also be baptised on the understanding that their parent/carer will seek to bring the child up to know Jesus for themselves. Baptisms normally take place during one of the Sunday morning services. A Baptismal Preparation meeting takes place before the service date is arranged so that any questions about what baptism means can be answered before the service.
Thanksgivings for the Birth of a Child.
Some parents do not wish to have their child baptised but wish to thank God for the birth of their child. This may be done through a time of Thanksgiving for the Birth of a Child which may happen during one of our services. Weddings
Wedding services
These can be held at St Elisabeth’s. Because of the various legal requirements that need to be carried out those seeking to be married need to contact the Vicar as soon as possible.
Funeral Services.
Funeral Services or Memeorial Services do take place at St Elisabeth’s and the greatest of care is taken to ensure that the service is carried out in a fitting a way as possible. It is more normal for the initial contact for a Funeral Service to be made via a Funeral Director.
